Round table of EEG equipment manufacturers within the Ukrainian Antiepileptic League (UAEL)

Within the conference of the Ukrainian Antiepileptic Leaguea round table of the manufacturers of domestic EEG equipment took place. The theme of the meeting - search for ways of cooperation of the manufacturers of medical equipment in order to improve the quality of manufactured electroencephalographs. In the work of the round table participated: Fedorenko L.G. (LLC NPP "DX-systems", Savchuk A.M. (LLC "DX-complexes"), Sergeev V.G. (LLC "KhAI-medika"), Kramarenko A.V., Pavlovich R.V., Pavlyutin L.V. (all – LLC "TREDEX Company"). It must be noted that the first in the history of Ukraine meeting of the manufacturers of EEG equipment took place thanks to effort of one of the UAEL heads Selyukov G.I., MD, and was conducted under his chairmanship. The main question, around which the discussion took place was the necessity of independent expert evaluation of manufactured electroencephalographic equipment, as well as the content and features of the testing method. In the course of the meeting the opinions of the representatives of LLC "KhAI-medika" and LLC "TREDEX company" were discussed in respect to the technique, proposed by the latter, while the representatives of LLC "DX-systems" and LLC "DX-complexes" took a passive position. No official decisions have been made from the results of the discussion, but the representatives of LLC "TREDEX Company" have declared their readiness to participate in the equipment testing. V.G.Sergeev has confirmed the interest of LLC 'KhAI-medika" in an independent expertise, but promised to give a final answer after thorough investigation and agreement of the testing method.We did not succeed to obtain an articulated answer from LLC "DX-systems", and the representative of LLC "DX-complexes" A.M.Savchuk has simply declared, that his company has no interest in any expertise at all. Although, taking into account that an independent qualified estimation of EEG equipment offered in Ukraine is of interest to wide medical circles, especially in the light of presented by LLC "TREDEX company" information on serious problems with EEG recording and processing pertinent to a number of domestic devices, the question on the expertise expediency, from our point of view, is already not a matter of discussion. We can only suppose that the manufacturers must be interested in working out a testing method, for not thoroughly regretting in the future for obtained and widely advertised in mass media results.
